Is this a decent unit to buy. I figured since 12volt is advertising this on the web site I would give it a try. I just need a basic 2 way unit for my sons 96 F150 for a Christmas gift. Thanks

I have been using these units recently at the shop I work for and they are definitely decent, but I still prefer Ultrastart. These are EXTREMELY similar without infringing patents, and are reliable and inexpensive. I would say go for it.

I have done several Scytek pieces, and they all still work fine, many over 2 years ago. The remotes do not hold up as well as other brands though.
