did u check to make sure it didnt come in with that problem. always look a car over first before doing a starter to make sure there is no lights on or coroded battery and things like that. try unhooking the bypass and see if it still dose it. if still unhook the negitive on the battery for 1 min and it should reset the computer...

I'll giver a shot. I did pull the car out and the light goes out after being moved/running for  a little bit. The customer says they just got an oil change. Treied unplugging the bypass no change. unhooked battery for a minute after sarting it with the key it re-illuminated..

If it is the change oil indicator, there is a possibility that the person who changed it never reset the light. If you look in the owner's manual it will explain how to reset it (something like ignition on, press brake 3 times, wait for light, turn ignition off)

This would then eliminate that as a possibility.

Nothing more bothersome than finishing a job and to have a stupid light come on.

Keep us posted (I have one coming up next week :) )

Customer was just in had the oil changed before prescribed service mileage of 4000 miles. It no has a little over 4000 miles ie the light came on. I read the owners manual and couldn't find the procedure for clearing the light. I called deaelrship real quick and they are going to reset it for her. If it comes back on I will post the findings. Pretty easy car to work on imo, first one that I have had the light pop on thoughposted_image........
