I have a little problem. I installed a full autopage 725 Alarm/Remote Starter in a 2000BMW 328i  and for some reason my 556uw bypass is not working with the car. When I stick the key in the ing and remote start it works perfectly but when I try it with the ring it does nothing. Do you think I should interface the two transponder wires with the 556uw? Or has anyone done this car and could offer some help.

Thankyou

how did you wire up the 556uw?  I thought DEI had a different than usuall way to wire the 556uw for european cars that involved using the factory transponder loop and moving a jumper to a different position inside the 556u?

Yeah, thats what I thought. It said something about using the factory transponder ring. Cut one of the two wires in half and interface and switch the jumper.

Thanks alot

i just had to fix a coworkers 2000 323. I did not do the original install but what i used a autopage umb-3 universal bypass kit. the previous installer tried to use a relay with a key connected to the factory ring, but the small wires broke and you could not start the car with the key. the only issue with using this was the location of the ring is very sensitive. when you find a place where the ring will start the car, i just used a dab of glue to hold it in place.

Use the factory transponder ring....it's flawless and only 30.00$ I NEVER do a BMR without this factory piece.
