I have an Ungo ms2004 alarm. Recently, i drove my car for about half an hour parked the car and left it for an hour. After returning to my car the car would not start. Turned the key and nothing happened. I checked to make sure the alarm was disarmed and sure enough it was. Still turn the key and absolutely nothing.
A similar thing had happened to me before where the valet switch had been kicked and the wires on it broke apart. I believe this caused the alarm starter kill to stay engaged. This also caused the alarm to get all messed up.
If you press arm, the lights would flash twice like it was disarming and the sirens would not chirp at all. On the other hand, when you press disarm the lights would flash once and no chirp sound. Yes im pressing the right buttons. If you hold down arm it will go into panic and the siren will go. You can hear relays in the brain clicking. 3 clicks for arm and 1 for disarm. The LED also seems backwards. When you disarm the alarm the led would start flashing. When you arm the alarm the LED will go to a constant light no flashes. I cannot enter programming mode by pressing the valet switch 10 times. Anyways, after fixing the valet switch all was fine. It has been fine for at least 6 months.
Back to my current problem. After messing around with the alarm and checking the valet switch, the alarm got messed again, It now has the same problems i had before only now the valet switch is just fine and the car will not start. If i push start the car (it is a manual) the car will go. This is not the easiest way to start my car all of the time as you can imagine.
I have ripped apart everything and got rid of the starter kill circuit on the alarm. The problem is the alarm is doing all that strange stuff and the car still does not start even now that the starter kill is gone. Yes i hooked the ignition wire back up.
By taking the starter kill out of the alarm is it possible that it could still effect the starting of the car?
What might be causing the alarm to act so funny?
