Im new on this forum thing, ive try reading all the information about the problem that am having with my 06 chevrolet silverado,. Am installing a remote start w/GM-SL. First of all this is my first time dealing with a bypass module interface, ive started installing the alarm/remote start with out the GM-SL, i would start the truck with the remote start and it would start but it would die after a second or 2.Ten ive try installing the GM-SL to bypass the key turn on but still would do the same. Am i missing a wire to install. I really need some help.. Thanks!

The GM-SL is a Fortin peice. Just make sure that you have the PURPLE wire in the C1 connector attached to the PURPLE OBDII wire at the diagnostics connector and program the module properly. Aside from this, the only real connections that are mandatory are the IGNITION, 12 +, GROUND & Status wire from the remote starter.

Make sure that the status output wire is connected, or working(negative pulse during the remote start process).

Most remote starters have a "Status" output witch is a negitve while the R-S is active. On DEI and Audiovox they are blue.
