My question is this on an older k5 Blazer im trying to install a aps-620 remote starter/alarm The problem I ran into is that the wires in the ignition harness dont seem to match the chart on this site. The other problem is that on the Audiovox control box on the main 6 pin connector there is 6 wires  2 reds a yellow for starter and purple for acces and 2 ignition outputs. The problem is where does the other ignition wire go and do I have to hook up all the 6 wires?

the red wires from the remote starter go to the red wire at the ignition switch, don't combine the two wires at 1 solder joint seperate them

the yellow wire from the remote starter will go to the yellow wire at the ignition switch

the blue wire from your remote starter will go to the pink wire at the ignition switch

and the purple wire from the remote starter go to the orange wire at the ignition switch

depending on year of the blazer your starter wire at the ignition switch might be purple

the other wires you don't need

this should help

I have 2 questions to finish my install

I have a audiovox aps-620 It is set for tach reading and I have learned it to the module It is set for 1 second how ever on cold days it needs like 1.5 seconds I know I can change the setting via valet switch but if I set it for to long will the starter grind or once the tach reads RPM it will stop starter?

The other question is the Led doesnt work I tested led and if I ground the - wire and leave the + hooked up to the module it stays lit so I take it that the - is the pulsed signal which makes it blink etc and is not working. any idea why it wouldnt work?

Once again thanks for all your help guys.

You can set it for 1.5 seconds & try that. Nothing bad will happen & yes, once the tach reads the rpm, the starter will disengage.

As far as the LED, I believe that is a programming led only. It only blinks to tell you what feature you are currently changing. I haven't used an APS-620 yet. But that's how it is on other Prestige remote starts.
