I plan on purchasing a G4 system (not sure which one yet). Do I have to install all the components if I find I don't really want them. For instance, I do not want my windshield wipers to be controlled by my alarm nor my headlights. If the alarm I get has these features, do I have to install them in order for the system to work or will it give me a bunch of error codes? Thanks.

No you do not need to have all accessories hooked up in order for the system to operate.
