My remote start/alarm is the clifford 50.5x

the only question I have is the  (-) door trigger input on this unit

my car is a 2006 Mazdaspeed 6 and the doorpin wires I have gotten are seperate from one another and I have diode isolated, now my question is do I have to do exactly the same thing for the green wire from this module and go to each doorpin wire and use diodes???

just to clear it up a bit, so I basically am going to have 6 diodes right??

one more question, the BLACK/ white wire (neutral safety output) from this module goes to the BLACK/ white wire from the clifford 50.5x

Thanks in advance

Mike

Mike, use the GREEN/ orange negative trigger in the front of the fusebox in a 16 pin plug. No need for any diodes at all.

The BLACK/ white of the 689M goes to BLACK/ white neutral safety input of the Matrix. You may put a switch in between to break these two wires for a master on/off. Do not put the BLACK/ white neutral safety input of the Matrix directly to ground like for an automatic.

Thanks for the reply Big Dog, but I already put the 50.5x in my vehicle about a week ago and I was just waiting for the  module to come

yah I know exactly what to do, and I always put the neutral safety switch no matter who it is, but I decided to get the doorpins independantly (don't ask why it was easy to do anyways), so to re ask my question, the green input for doorpin from the 689M module will go to all three doorpin wires with diodes in the vehicle???

What about this???

could I use the GREEN/ orange at the fuseblock for the 689M module and leave the three doorpins hooked up independantly hooked up to my clifford 50.5x???

thanks, mike

Sure, the idea is that opening a door disengages the 689M and if the security is armed will set it off. Whatever means you use to achieve this is all good.

The reason I mentioned not to put the BLACK/ white neutral safety input of the Matrix to ground is that I've seen guys hook up a 689M but also put a switch to ground - which defeats the purpose of the 689M - because they don't understand the concept of the 689M.
