This is a basic question regarding the Accessory circuits, but I want to verify as I am doing a DIY install of a 791xv I received new from a buddy.  2006 F250 Diesel

The diagrams indicate 2 accessory circuits.  To connect the circuits, do I use the Orange accessory output to two relays, each powering one of the accessory circuits in the truck?

The way I read the starter connection, I cut the starter wire, connect the key side to the green wire, purple side to the starter side?

The wait to start light, I need to isolate with a Diode.  It is a (-) circuit, so do I put the cathode on the alarm side of the connection or the other way around?

Everything else seems straight forward enough.  Any other suggestion to look for from the experienced installer here would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advace, SK

Yes you have things correct, if you have it, use a timer rather than the wait to start ckt.

Thanks for the reply.  I just realized one more question.  Looking at the diagram for my truck it shows gray / YELLOW and RED / black for accessory 1, and dk. blue/lt.green for accessory 2.  Should I use 2 relays for accessory one and one for the accessory 2?

IGN RED / green, accy 1 grey / yellow ,accy 2 red / black, accy 3 blue/ green [requred for glow plug warm up] wire the accy wire from your rs unit to accy 1 then tap off that accy wire to trigger 2 relays.. pretty simple.. Im sure the diagrams are on this site for it.. umm accy wire + 12v to 85 , 86 ground , 30 +12v fused , 87 to accy wire on truck .. just repaet for the accy 3 wire then....

You should only need one relay to do this. The 791 allows you to change the function of the 2nd ignition wire of the remote start to a 2nd accessory in the programming menu. Also there is a 4 pin harness that plugs into the xcrs relay pack. The orange wire in that harness is designed to provide a negative accessory trigger for additional relays.    You also need to program your accessories on during wait to start. One last thing, you may want to think about picking up a 454t tach signal generator for the tach signal. The 6.0 litre Ford motors dont always put out a tach signal that the DEI units like but the 454t will work every time.

Cool, I can take one of them back!  Thanks for the other tips, I will check into that tach sensor you mentioned.

The install went pretty easy.  Thanks for your input.

Two questions for you guys though.  I am assuming the the first is related to the tach signal.  Since I don't have a 454T yet, I hooked it to the tack wire on the truck, which reads about .8v AC at idle.  Could not get it to "learn".  When trying the remote start, the truck will turn over a second or so and not always start, (diesels need to crank for a little while longer than a gasser), but if it is hot, it will start, runs a few seconds and shuts down.  I am hoping the 454T will fix that...does that sound logical?

Second, the shock sensor is not very sensitive.  I put it on top of one of the air vents as suggested in the manual via 2-sided tape.  You got give the truck a pretty good hit near where it is mounted to get it to set off.  Any suggestions for that?

Never mind, I got it going.  Turned off the engine checking, put on voltage checking instead of tach, put it to 4 seconds of crank and all is good on the starter part!posted_image
