I'm doing an alarm/remote start (Clifford RSX 3.2) on a 1995 Caddilac El Dorado, I was told that a resistor needs to be put for tha key in order for tha remote start to work, I never done a resistor for the key and any information or diagrams would be very helpful. Also, i would like to kno if a relay is needed for the door lock and unlock. Thanks in advance

Do a search for Passlock on the site. there should be more than enough info on that as this was the first stages of antitheft taken by GM

jaurora...the 95 Eldorado is VATS, not passlock

german30 do a search for VATS bypass, you will find all the information you need in these forums.

As far as the relays go, you probably do not need them. The way I have always tested a trigger to see if it needs a relay is once I have found a wire with my DMM then use an old fashioned bulb test light. I tap the bulbed test light to the wire in question, if it operates the device I do not use a relay, if it does not operate it I use a relay.
