Just a quick question that hopefully can be answered.
Why is it when i hook up alarms(DEI VIPER 771xv) they are hit and miss on vehicles about the accessories(AC/HEATER/RADIO) turning on.
I installed an alarm in a 97 Honda Civic and the heater or AC(depending on how it was left) will be on when the car is remote started. Did the same alarm on a 1990 Honda CRX and the AC/RADIO/HEATER will not turn on until the key is turned to the ON position. Intalled a Code Alarm ca670 into a 94 Acura Integra and i run into the same issue as the CRX. Cars have been hit and miss. Are there secondary accessory wires that i am missing? Is it car specific, or am i just missing something. All alarms were hooked up using the same method.

on most cars there are more than 1 Acc wire. You are just tagging the wrong one. Both of the ACC wires do not need to be connected for the remote start to work. One Acc wire usally works ther HVAC system and the other is for the electronics.

Thank you very much. I thought it was that simple. I appreciate your feedback. Ill go play with both of the cars and see what i can come up with and report back.
If you can assist me one more time real quick it would be appreciated. I checked the 12volt diagrams and show the CRX to have only one accessory wire. What wire would i be looking for?

Thank you. I will take a look into that. What is the best method for tapping into the Blue/White wire?

The best way is to solder the connection.......u will also need to use a relay coming from the first acc off of your remote start, unless the unit has an extra wire that can be used as acc or ignition. if the remote start has a pink/white wire that is not being used.......use this 1 and program it to acc, if not, use a relay off of the orange wire on the remote start.

Oh, i solder all of my connections. Im MECP(like someones quote if that matters) and have been installing for some time. This is just the one issue that boggles me. I do have one more pink/white wire. I just tapped them all in the same unit. Shame on me:)
