Having trouble remove panel above the pedals to install the remote starter. If someone could please help that would be great.

Three days later but here goes:

Start by prying the plastic tab down at the top of the hood release lever to pull the lever towards you and remove the screw which holds the panel but was hiding behind the lever.

Start by pulling the panel at the TOP towards you by sticking your finger between the panel and the steering column. Do this at the left and right of the steering.

Slowly open the panel as if it were on hinges at the bottom. Watch the hook on the bottom right. Panel can now be removed. Remove the connectors from the panel.

Discard the panel (just kidding posted_image ).

Re-installation is opposite of removal.
