Have a Chevy 2500, 2004. and everytime I use the remote start and drive away the truck derates it self. If i dont use the remote start it works fine. Anyone else run across this?

Electrically? Mechanically? A few more specifics might yield an answer.

If you are saying that the truck has less power after remote start, STOP using the remote start. This sounds as if whoever installed it missed the second ignition white wire. If this is the case you can cause permanent damage to the transmission.
