Hi everyone,

I am about to install a UK spec Cobra 8188 Cat 1 to a Nissan Skyline R33 GTS-T on a 1996 model, and I would like to know if anyone knows if and how I can install a remote start to the alarm?

I know there are diagrams on here on how to do a remote start with a relay, but how do i get it to work with the alarm?

The alarm has the following alarm colours / options that are not used in a normal fit:

2* Green = optional interrupt circut ( normally not used due to alarm having seperate imm unit )

white / red = second siren output

Brown = Negative output when armed

Grey = Negative trigger from external sensors

thanks in advance for all your help out there, my mind has just gone blank and i cant think of what to do?!?!

cheers

The vehicle has a factory alarm? or an after market alarm?

You want to install a remote start...rite?

If it is an aftermarket alarm, and you want to "pair" it up with an aftermarket remote start....might be a tricky task. Most remote starts DO NOT have an aux input to trigger it. Samething with the alarm...how will you disarm and unlock the doors? You might get the remote start to unlock the doors...but disarming will be a different story.  I would suggest a "combo" unit. One unit that does both, no piggy backing....

thanks for the reply

the car has nothing as its a fresh import

the alarm key fob will have 2 buttons, one to arm and disarm (provides remote central locking) and one to turn off the interior sensors and also acts as a panic alarm.
