How do you wire in a diode? For arguements sake, ifyour door locks require a diode, how exactly do you wire them in?? Splice the lead from the alarm and twist/solder them toghther then twist/solder the other side of the diode onto the vehicles lock or unlock wire?

Sorr for such a silly question but I havenever done this before.

Thanks as always,
Brian

So it is just the wire spliced and soldered to each end of the resistor or diode! Ok great. What is a barrel connector? Isit the same as a butt connector?

Thanks,
Brian
