I have a crimestopper CS-2016DPFM in a '96 nissan altima gxe. Lately a lot has been going wrong. Sometimes it unlock the doors when it wants and i wont know, then when i open the door the siren will make a funny noise but wont go off, and pager will just display the open door alert over and over again. Sometimes when i arm the alarm the doors wont lock. And sometimes the alarm wont respond to the remotes. Im thinking there is something wrong with the brain but just wanted to know if there is anything else that can b wrong or i can check. Please help, dont know what to do.

i think the easiest solution would be to get a new alarm....probably a viper seeing its lifetime warranty and have a good installer such as myself put it in.

First check all connections.
When odd ball stuff happens I usually find a bad ground wire.
Take apart your remote and clean it.
I replace batteries in my remotes once a year.

i checked the ground it was fine, but the power connector was kinda melted so i rewired the power side. It seems to be working normally for now. . .

not a ground problem but you shouldnt have a melted fuse holder on something pulling that low of current, or just in general. you probably have a problem somewhere.

the fuse holder wasnt melted, a connector i used on the power wire was a lil melted. Do you know where the problem is?

you can only assume problems without trouble shooting, and we all know what happens when u assume...........

If it was the connector possibly it wasn't crimped tight enough to make good contact, thta would show up after time. The best thing to do is solder all of the connections.
