I'm doing a RS for a customer in an 03 Cadillac CTS and I'm using a 457GW. I'm at the stage where I need to hook up the Pink and Pink/Black wires off the 457 to the Pink or White wire (according to the diagram) however upon finding the PassKey III module there is no Pink or White wires. What I have found are 2 purple, 1 black, 1 yellow, 1 orange. Also at the antenna at the key cylinder there is a Green and a Brown wire. The brown splices with the black listed above. I need to know which of these wires I'm tapping into before I go any further as I don't want to screw this car up and have it not start because I hacked the wrong wires up. If anyone has any insight it would be very helpful.

not sure about the wires, but I would have just used a sinple key in box bypass such as DEI 556uw

It has been my experience with the GM product that the key-in-a-box bypass modules do not always perform reliably.

I have switched to the GMDL-BP for these vehicles.

It's intersting that no one is reporting any problems with the 457G on a CTS.

I've done an '04 and two '05's, and each one triggered the "have security system serviced"  on the info display. All three were wired properly, that was triple-checked of course. I talked to DEI techs and they told me the new 1700G  will do the job since it has the latest software.

Anyone know about this? I have to do another '04, but I cannot have this happen again..

Yellow it was and worked great. Thanks!

Also, I had no security lights or anything triggered when mine was done, it all worked flawlessly.

This will only happen if you don't install the extra harness.  The remote start will still work fine but, you'll get the light.  Install the extra harnesss and wire the gray/black to acc and you'll be fine.
