My 2wss-as has been in and running fine for about a week and a half. The other morning i tried to remote start my vehical, and noticed I didnt get a comfirmation on the remote that it had been started. I heard an awfull noise coming from outside, and after going outside. Found that my car was in-fact started and running, but the starter hasn't shut off. It was cranking away while the car was running!

well, I immediatly opened the door and stepped on the brake. That shut it off, but wow, NOT COOL!

I made sure that all the other functions worked and they do. No damage done to the starter or anything..  I double checked all my connections, including tach wire under the hood. everything is good. When i installed this, i soldered and heat shrinked all connections and took my time to do a good install.

Any suggestions? Im out of answers..

Also the Car is a 2000 chevy blazer zr2, and the brain is a cm-3000.

Might you try re-learning the tach?  You have the correct tach, white @ the coil pack...?

i'll try that. I do have the correct wire. It's just odd, it did it on its own. I haven't changed anything or removed power  from the alarm... odd, but scary because I just cringed when i stuck my head out the door and heard the starter just cranking away.

Most remote starters have a maximum time limit on how long they will crank the starter......... say, six seconds.

Even if the tach wire was disconnected, or the car was out of gas or whatever........ it still wouldn't crank the starter any longer than that.

I can't think of what might be wrong at the moment, but I will think more and post here soon.

Can you repeat the problem? If you try to remote start the car again, will it do the same thing?

Intermittent problems are hard to figure out. But if it's doing it every time, you should be able to troubleshoot it.

UPDATE... problem solved. The tach learn button must have gotten pushed from being crammed up in the dash with all the wires. I re-learned the tach. reorganized all the wires and the brain... no more continual crank.

Thank you to all who have replied.
