Hi, I need your subject matter expertise. I am planning to install Viper 791XV on my 2006 Honda Odyssey. I have a few questions as follow: 1. The Antenna wire was cut in half (it was removed from my previous car), can it be reconnected and reused? If reuse, will it have any impact on the frequency? 2. Which wire is for the Blue 2nd Unlock Output? 3. Which wire is for the Blue/white (-) 200mA Status/Defogger 4. Where does the Green Key Side Starter wire (from Relay Satellite Wiring device) go? 5. Can Pink/White 2nd Ignition Output be used for the 2nd Accessory Output or Orange (-) 200mA 2nd Accessory Output must be used as the 2nd Accessory Output?
Your help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I would purchase a new antenna, just to be sure and safe. Drivers door only unlock is in the drivers door. It's REV polarity. YELLOW /GREEN This would get you first unlock pulse . The secondm wich would do the remaing doors, pink/black, green connector, right side of fuse box. You really DON"T want to try and do all this without the correct module. One that will do the locks, the sliding doors etc. MUCH EASIER. Like the CAN SL2, or the ADS-DLSL-HA. 4. Where does the Green Key Side Starter wire (from Relay Satellite Wiring device) go? It goes to the ignition switch side of the starter wire...you have the "key side" and you have the "starter side" Don't use an ign. output for accs. unless you can program it for accs. You need to make sure your Ignition harness wires are "energized" in the proper order. I have no listing for the rear defroster....sorry -------------

pink/white can be programed to be a second accesory. Spliceing the antenna will work but im sure it would decrease your range. other than that do what Kar Tune says and find a data moduale that will control locks, sliding doors, etc.

Thank you for your helpful replies. I already have ADS-DLSL-HA module. A few more questions..... 1. For the Factory Alarm Arm/Disarm - do I need to connect the wire from the Viper module to the driver side door? Or will the ADS-DL module automatically do this? 2. Will the ADS-DL module automatically set up for 2nd Unlock Output or will I have to do this manually with the Viper? 3. For the Tachometer - I found 3 wires at the fuel injector but there is no voltage (although I was asked not to use the Yellow/Black wire, I couldn't find this wire either). Where is the Tachometer wire located? 4. According to my Wiring Diagram, the Parking Lights - (negative) @ the headlight switch in column cover should be negative but when I measured it, it has between 12 to 14 volts (positive). Is it possible? Can I use this wire? If so, do I need to change the setting on the jumper of the Viper module? Thanks again!

1. need to run a wire, no relay needed, to door for disarm.
2. viper must connect 2nd unlock wire to Power Unlock. not sure what the ads-dl for but use a relay and blue wire on lk/unlk harness for unlock motor. diagram below.
Unlock Motor YELLOW /GREEN 5wi driver fuse/relay box, 12 pin plug
Power Unlock green - pass kick or MICU, 30 pin plg, pin 6
3.Tachometer NOT yellow/black ac any fuel injector
4.???

Im not familiar with that bypass moduale but if its data then it should take care of your factory arm and disarm so no, you dont have to go into the door. I dont know if its setup for 2nd step unlock. Usually an injector only has two wires are you sure youve got an injector? I dont know what the exact voltage AC would be but as you increase or decrease in rpms you should see you voltage increase and decrease on the tach wire. but if theres no yellow/black its probably not an injector. about your parking lights i think i remember another installer in my shop telling me how he found a RED / black (+) for parking lights at the coloumn. He used it no problem, when you turned on the parking lights it showed up as 12v. The viper unit by default is set as a positive parking light output, so unless youve moved the jumper to (-)at some point then you should be good, but it never hurts to double check.

injectors have two wires not three, from what ive seen. also, dont get confuse w/ coil on plug (COP) and injector, two completely diff components of any vehicle.

I datalink looks like they make a nice product. Does the module have a second unlock input on it? if it does you can probably connect that to the second unlock output on the viper unit. just out of curiosity how much does a bypass module from them cost? does it say in the manual what functions it will perform for specific platforms? It says on their website it controls OEM alarms depending on software version and vehichle, just wondering if it gets any more detailed in the manual. Every bypass module ive used, that used data armed and disarmed factory security.

once again nice looking product. it looks to me like it will do your oem security Im just not sure about second step unlock. Only way to know for sure is contact the manufactures techsupport or hook it up and see what it does. hopefully someone here has used that mod before and knows for sure.
