I have a real odd one here. 2004 Intrepid SE with a Compustar 2W900FM-AS that I just installed.

Everything works as it should, except the door trigger. I have diode isolated all four door wires. When the alarm is set everything appears fine for about 45 seconds then the alarm goes off telling me that a door has opened.

The door indicator on the dash does not come on at this time, but does work as it should when you open a door.

I have traced the wiring and have verified that I do indeed have the proper door sense wires. I've checked the diodes and replaced them all once just to be sure. Polarity is correct as well.

This is driving me crazy. I've never had a Compustar act like this. I've even disconnected the door trigger sense wire from the brain to test it and the alarm does not go off on its own, so I know the brain is good.

I tested it by connecting to the (-) side of the interior light as well and it works perfectly. I don't want to leave it connected that way though, as a blown interior light fuse will cause no sensing of an open door.

Thoughts?

DOORPIN RED / WHITE(-) or RED(+) (CN3) Yellow Pin-8 on C6 connector at fuseblock  
The fuse-panel/junction block is located below the driver's side of the dash above the kickpanel. See the DOORLOCK diagram for the exact location of the wire you need.
 TRUNK PIN VIOLET/BLACK (CN3) Tan/black At harness in driver's kick  

Here are the wires FROM the cm3000, and what and where you are supposed to connect to from the vehicle. Use the RED / white from the brain, and connect it to the yellow @ the C connector pin 8 at the fusebox. (on the back)     It's a 1 wire connection....not 4.

the yellow wire is ur dome supervision. if ur having problems with the door pins that is where i would tag the connection...

Here is the information I got from an online source that I have been using for the majority of my installations:

DOOR TRIGGER       See NOTE *3       @ BCM, See NOTE *4

NOTE *3 the DRIVERS DOOR is a TAN (-) Pin 4, the PASSENGER DOOR is a TAN/RED (-) Pin 2, the DRIVERS REAR DOOR is a TAN/RED (-) Pin 1 and the PASSENGER REAR DOOR is a TAN/RED (-) Pin 10, when connecting to an ALARM SYSTME, use ALL 4 DOOR TRIGGER wires and DIODE ISOLATE, to connect.

NOTE *4 the BCM (Body Control Module) is located on the DRIVERS SIDE of the DASH attached to the FUSE/JUNCTION block.

As I said in my first post, I did end up connecting to the interior light in the end. The only issue there is that a blown or missing fuse will not trigger the alarm when a door is opened.

I have to admit that after hundreds and hundreds of installs this is the first time I've seen conflicting wiring information.

i wouldnt worry about a missing fuse or blown fuse on the int lights. how many times have u had a interior light fuse blow ,me never. ur correct on going to the door pins as ur dei sheet said but at least there is a alterate wire to hit with this car the dome supervision...
