I have a 5900 installed in my truck, it is a basic install (starts, locks the doors). i want to add some other features. The two i would like to add are

1. Turn on/off my heated seats

2. Turn on and set Cruze control (when in park I can set fast idle..this is a diesal)

Does anyone have any experience with either of these?

As far as the heated seats go, you could wire in a relay from the accessory on the remote start to power the seats.  As far as cruise control in park, won't work, most cruise controls go off of a VSS.  If you want to take it to the next level, you could hook up a door acuator that'll push your throttle forward after it's started, and wire in a relay off of the remote ground when started.

I did that and when the car is started and I turn on the seats using the Aux the heated seat light comes on but the seat does not heat. i only heats when I turn the key on.

sounds like you are not powering the circuit that controls the heated seat....  you may need to power an extra Acc circuit....
