Guys, I am helping a friend that have a Nissan 350Z with factory HID front lights.  As you may know thieves are stealing these lights and the factory alarm does not sound.  I was thinking on order a Omega AU-83 remote piezo sensors and put one piezo sensor on the back of each HID light.  If a thief is tampering whit the light assembly it will triger the factory alarm.

My Concern is the following:

What do you thing of my idea?

Do the engine heat will damage the Piezo Sensors?

Is there is another idea on how to protec and wire the HID to triger the factory alarm?

Atached is a pic of the Omega AU-83 remote piezo sensor unit.

Well those light are so easy to stole  ( I thing the 350z as a factory alarme so they need to open the hood to get acces ) the alarme should go off    ( when is't  armed )

Well, I going to hook up the AU-83 to the hood pin, so when they tamper with the HID the factory alarm goes off.

Thats the part I don't understand......how do they get the lights out WITHOUT opening the hood (hood pin with alarm).....does that NOT solve the problem
