I have installed a dozen or so remote starts but this is the first with a data wire for alarm bypass. I have done gm's passlock so is the passkey done the same way?  I have found differant wiring info on this so could someone post  the actual diagrams. I have bought a 555g and wiring diagram says I need to hook purple wire to data at the ignition but can't find diagram that tells which wire this is   thanks   steve

I know these are thin gauge wires and I have done many passlock ll but this is the first passlock lll and I've always been able to find the ones I needed ina diagram but now I cant seem to find specific wires  thanks for your time

Why mess around with the 555G?

Get a GM-DLBP from bypasskit.com, and it does locks, trunk, factory arm/disarm, as well as Passkey III bypass, all with one piece.

yes but this is for my mothers car and my father bought her a standard starter without the unlock/lock so I purchased the 555g thinking this would be what I needed,  he bought it thinking that I could install it because I was able to do so on her '96 regal but that was differant system with wires coming from key cylinder and this one has a black control type of box with 5 wires coming from it from left to right -   purple, purple, black, pink, orange so which of these do I cut and which one do I splice into

I suggest getting a databus module for this vehicle so you don't have to grab the OEM alarm disarm wire in the door. Trying to get from the driver's door to the inside of the vehicle is an absolute pain.

ok if I get agm-dcbp just exactly do you go about connecting to data ports( I mean do I need come sort of a special connector to plug in or just splice into the wire coming out of the port)

Yes you will need the GM-DLBP to override the OEM alarm without going into the doors. Also, what kind of starter are you installing that doesn't have keyless capabilities ?

If there is no option for (-) trigger door locks on the AutoCommand unit, then that feature on the module willnot be used. If it does have triggers you might as well have it hooked up.
