pretty much sums it up.. we've got tons of these new 1100f's at best buy, but no way to change programming from the base ford/mazda platform. i know best buy won't provide the cable (or the computer for that matter) but i would really love to get ahold of one. i've got an old pc collecting dust at home, so i plan on installing that into my toolbox.. once that's done, i just need to install the software (will have to source that myself as well i guess) and we'll be able to actually use these things.

does anyone here know how a person could go about getting this stuff? is it something i'm gonna have to get with a rep on?

The reps have them in stock. The software and all available firmwares are on Directechs now.
