Hi,

I'm installing a Command KE-2DLK kit in an 03 Cavalier. I'm having some problems with the door locks.

According to Commando support, I am to connect the + and - lock impulses off the keyless entry module to the brown and white wires off the door lock module. When I do that the door will unlock, but not lock.

All I am trying to hook up right now are the locks, so I have only connected power, ground, and the two lock trigger wires. Also I can hear relays clicking when I lock and/or unlock the doors, so I'm pretty confident the remote module is OK.

I get the feeling that I've connected the wrong wires for the lock pulse - can anyone help me with some wiring info?

Thanks in advance,

Bob

WELL....your door locks are POS(+) pulses.  They are lt.blue...and white. Lt.blue is lock, white is unlock, they are found in the drivers kick. I read the tid bit of info that is at the link you provided. This unit has POS, and NEH outputs for locks...BUT it does NOT say if the relays are built in....SO....I would find this out first, then if it does not, wire yourself up a couple of relays to throw POS(+) You can use whatever trigger from the brain you want, just wire the relay saccordingly and hook em up to the wires in the kick.

If I understand you correctly, you're talking about a car with factory locks. This car does not have those, so I'm using all commando parts.

I think the lock module is handling the relay work otherwise I'm not sure what good it is. If it doesn't do that then all I need are the remote module, relays, and actuators - right? I hope that makes sense.

BTT - anybody installed one of these before?

I've got it out and wired up on the bench, still no work with their recommended connection between the remote module and the lock module.
