1. WHITE/ blue- do not use. cut it and tape it.

2. orange- do not use. cut it and tape it. (u already have antigrind at the xcrs relay packet)

3. the 2 red 12v input, connect it to the same 12v source at the ignition harness.

4. the switch is used for the neautral safety switch wire. connect the BLACK/ white of the harness to the BLACK/ white of the switch. ground the black wire on the switch. (hide this switch somewhere so u can turn on and off the remote start ability)

5. not sure about the defogger

Nkarr...I've been out of the game for a while, but hopefully some of these answers will help...

[QUOTE=nkarr]
Question #1: ...page15 H1/10 white and blue activation input what switch does this wire get hooked to?

Answer: This wire hooks up to the pushbutton that should have come with the system. If it didn't come with the system, and you want to install this feature, you can just run to a store like Radio Shack and pick one up....they're cheap. I don't think I installed this feature in my alarm...I think I just taped off the WHITE/ blue wire. (I did this a while ago...someone correct me if I'm wrong there please.)

Question #2: ...next is the H1/12 orange  wire pg 16 used for anti grind ?how does it get hooked into the start circuit

Answer #2: This orange wire will go to a relay for a "starter kill". Go to this page on the12volt to see a setup for a Normally Closed Starter Kill Relay. You'll see this orange wire is hooked into pin 85 of the relay.

Question #3: ...same page relay sat connections the 2 red 12v input ....can I use a constant 12v source?

Answer #3: Yes, connect these to a constant 12v source. If your car has 2 separate constant 12v sources, connect one to each (as per the instructions on Page 16).

Question #4: pg 19 remote start harness is this the switch that came with the unit H3/1 neutral safety sw input?

Answer #4: Yes, your system should have come with this switch. Although, depending on your car, you may not even need to hook this up. Again, it's been a while since I've done this, but I'm pretty sure I just grounded this wire in my system since my car won't start unless it's in Park or Neutral anyway. Again, I'm pretty sure I grounded the wire, but someone else might know better.

Question 5: ...pg 20  H3/5 blue /white status/defogger which wire does this hook to  to control the rear wndo defogger

Answer 5: I'm not sure which wire is your defogger wire in your car. It wasn't on the wiring diagram on this site that I was looking at. On my car I used a relay to hook up the alarm to the defogger using one of my AUX channels. On yours it looks like you can just use this wire which is pretty cool. Maybe if you can't find the wire in a diagram somewhere, you can pull out the defogger switch (if it's easily accessible) and see the wire colors behind it.

Thanks to you both but I'm still a litte confused as to the orange wire ...captainzab says ". orange- do not use. cut it and tape it. (u already have antigrind at the xcrs relay packet" and cpgoose says "Answer #2: This orange wire will go to a relay for a "starter kill". Go to this page on the12volt to see a setup for a Normally Closed Starter Kill Relay. You'll see this orange wire is hooked into pin 85 of the relay. " i do remember that the dealer did say something about a xtra relay for this feature.....any takers ? thanks

This unit has starter kill already.
When you cut the heavy IGN wire (usually yellow) and attached one wire to each end, you setup the starter kill.
The orange wire can be used for a starter kill or anything else you want to turn on or off with the door locks.

ok I got most fo this figured out ...so my question bout the relay is this ..can I use a 5 wire 20/30 amp relay OR do I need a 40 amp such as the DEI 8618

and if its the 20/30 should I wire it like the diagram here on 12 volt or can I use the three wire diagram from DEI https://www.directedstore.com/manuals/8618.pdf

oh bye the bye 2001 dodge stratus sedan

ok now I got it ...but first THANK YOU to everyone who posted replies to my questions and thank you12 volt posters for ALL the great info ...a world of knowledge here.  now the valet 562t does have anti grind and starter kill ...BUT the anti grind circuit only works with the optional starter kill relay installed (page 17 of the owners guide )..yes it also is a stand alone starter kill when the vehical is running through remote start ..but what I was looking to do was this......the relay will allow the starter to be disabled with the vehicle shut down and the doors locked ..or in other words go park in a dark lot shut off the car and hit the door lock button ...if the car isnt unlocked with the remote ..it wont start ..a security feature....I called around to a few electronic places and one place had a harness with the relay  sorta plug -n- play   so once again a big thank you to everyone.

Not so. The starter kill is active the instant you lock the doors.

Pressing for one second arms the system by activating the starter kill and locking the doors (if the door locks are connected).

The horn will honk (if connected) and the parking lights will flash once to confirm arming of the system. While the system is armed, the status LED will flash once per second. The Failsafe Starter Kill, which is part of the XCRS relay pak which was installed during the remote start installation, will prevent the vehicle’s starter from cranking.

you dont need to add a separate relay for starter kill.... this feature is built into that model ( in fact i dont even know why they put that stupid orange wire in the harness, short of for vehicles with 2 starter wires-Toyota, Nissan, etc)

utilizing the thicker green and violet wires incorporates the built in starter kill feature... the XCRS relay pack already has a built in relay designated for starter kill.....(and for anti-grind as well)

if you dont want starter kill or anti-grind then hook up the voilet wire only to the vehicle starter wire... if you want anti-grind and starter kill then cut the vehicle starter wire and wire the violet wire to the starter side and the green to the key side.... then in the programming menu you program ON the security (starter kill) feature and program ON the anti-grind feature.....
