Thanks

you need relays for the doorlocks-they are reverse polarity. You might need a ignition bypass module if you have a grey headed key.

Thanks, It's been a while since I've done any car installs. I'll look for the reverse polarity diagram.
And the key is NOT grey. So I should not need any relays for the remote start right?

If the key is black you are good to go!(no bypass).

Actually... the key is just a key.... bought the car used and that is all it came with.... no plastic on the top of it.

I've installed the started. Works great. I have one problem/question. The wire for the parking lights does not work. supposed to be BLACK / YELLOW at the switch. Tried and does not flash or turn on parking lights. Any clues?

Was the wire positive or negative polarity.. Did you check with a meter?? The default parklight output on that Crimestopper is positive, so you don't want to just hook it to any wire with out checking it first. If the wire you tried showed 12 volts with the switch on park lights then you need to check the output of the R/S..

Thanks ... Will check today when I get home. Wire was 12 volt without switch on.

What diagram would I use for the door locks being reverse polarity?

you can go the relay section at the left of the screen on this site and get some diagrams with two relays for reverse polarity.. also will tell you how to test for that type. You can also get a 451m from dei or crimestopper I think that will make those revere polarity locks a little easier.. You can get that 451m right on Ebay usually or a stereo shop..
