I just want a remote starter. I have a 2001 Chevy Tahoe. I brought the Hornet 560T remote start and the DEI 556LW bypass module. Is there anything else that I need to have this installed? Thanks.

If your remote control works when the vehicle is started (which I believe it does with your truck). You should be good to go with that. I did a Tahoe (04) the other day that would not let the tire pressure light extinguish till I powered both accessory wires, so you may need one relay. I am not sure if the second accessory powers that feature, so I just added the extra relay..the tire warning may have had nothing to do with not powering the second accessory, but I hooked up it anyway.

The second accessory wire on these trucks has been in debate here for a while. Some say it's not needed, others report problems like above(and others) if you don't . Do yourself a favor and get a relay and hook up the second accessory...
