Hello, installed an autostart 2310tw, and i have tried everything and it wont give a tac signal.
it will do a manual takeover but as soon as i try to start it with the remote i get 3 slow flashes. which says no tac signal. anyhelp would be great
tnx in advace
Ervie, just out of curiousity did you do the tach learn procedure
Where did you get your tach signal from? I have it said to be @ the PCM in the pass. kick. Lt.grn/blk.

It isn't supposed to GIVE a tach signal. it recieves a tach signal to tell the starter when to stop cranking. Get thi tach in the kick like KArtuneman says, and enter tach programming as follows:
1) flash the hoodpin
2) Pres and hold the brake
3) press lock and unlock on the remote until the lights flash 4 or 5 times.
4) the Parking lights will go out and then come back on. start the car
5) look at the LED on the antenna. If it comes on solid, you are on the wrong wire. If it stays out, press the brake. It will flash the parkinglights4 times when it sees the signal.
6) enjoy!

Northstart.....or start it your damn self.
Well i figured it out, this car was a lease buyback so therefore they programed it so you could not get another key cut.
and i guess thats what the bypass does (xk04) so i bought a keybox wrapped the ignition and bang start right away.
So i was just confused when i had the bypass hoooked up and tried to start it the lights just gave me 3 slow blinks ,which in the troubleshooting book says no tach signal.
i guess thats a learning expereance.
tnx for your replies Ervie
unbelivable got this thing done and now i get a call saying it wont start. she says that the lights come on for a sec then they flash a few times but wont start.
Also her battery died and the put a charger on it for 15 min then started.Dont know if that has anything to do with it. but after the install i tried it 10 times and no problems at all.
could it be that i didt wrap the ignition enough or not tight enough. im stumped.
any ideas would help thanks.
