ok ive installed a 561r remote start on my work truck and wanted to add the keyless entry part of the alarm . I havent attempted it and was wondering if i needed relays and how i would go about it if anyone can give me some insight on how and what wires to cut relays to add where the wires are located ect. it would be much appreciated

you will need relays. If the truck has factory keyless, then the locks are on a 1 wire system and will require relays AND resistors. The value of the resistors will vary depending on if the truck has factory security or not. If it has no factory keyles, you still need relays, and you will find your wires in the drivers kick area. They are pink/black and ORANGE / black (reversing polarity).

no factory alarm or keyless entry. how would i wire this? I just went out and bought two relays is this enough?

To make sure for pin # 87a, you have the correct wire, put your meter on the end of the wire and push the lock or unlock switch, you should get a 12voly trigger.

worked like a charm but I think I tapped the wrong wires. The way I wired it only worked my driver door. I tapped into ORANGE / black and pink/black I believe I should of tapped into ORANGE / purple and pink/purple. Is this correct?

yeah thats what I thought and still went with the wrong ones. One more quick ?. Is there a way for me to use my aux button on my 561r remote to power my Arrow board.  to turn on my arrow board.  I turn on a 12v toggle switch, is there a way to incoporated in?

ok i got a 561r installed in my 99 dodge ram and have a aux button that pulses 200ma when pressed is there a way for me to turn on a 12volt toggle switch from my aux button through relays.

You could you would need a latching relay.

If you look to the left in the blue area under basics is relays go there then theres a link to a diagram for them. You can also buy them.

Yes thats the diagram you need for a 12volt output. All you need to do is hook the RED / white wire to the light green in the diagram.

what size diode should i be using?ILL try this out my wife thinks i nuts i read what you guys do and i got to go out and try it. ive added mmiles of wire to my truck already and yes all fused 12v

I used a 1 amp diode finished the install and everything works like a charm everybody at work wants the same setup on there work truck. remote start with keyless entry and an aux button that powers our arrow board  via wireless remote  but i dont think so. thanks alot guys for all your info
