Hello,

Here is my dilema...  I am installing a remote start in a 2004 Nissan 350z, it has two starter wires.  I have both wired up with a relay activating the second starter wire.  The first starter wire, however, rests at ground...  everytime i remote start the car, i pop a 10 amp starter fuse in a fuse box behind the battery that is not listed in the owners manual.  (this is another story altogether, took quite a while to actually figure out that this fuse bank existed...)  At first glance, I thought it maybe a 5-wire starter wire.  This is not the case.  When cut, the starter wire sees ground from the firewall side, thought it may be leakage from a relay, but tested as 12 volts.

Just short of running a new starter wire to the solenoid from the remote start, i am lost...  I refuse to believe that i am the only one that has ever encountered this problem, as i cannot find any information anywhere other than both of these starter wires are straight + trigger.

Any insight would be greatly appreciated!

Ben
