I'm trying to install a Remote Start in a 2006 H3 and I am running into some issues. Firstly, I can't seem to get the proper resistance code for the passlock. I measured the resistance between the WHITE/ blue wire and the WHITE/ yellow per directfax 1603. I seem to get a different resistance code from time to time using this method and it is causing problems. I'm wondering from anyone who has any experience with H3s if these are the right wires I'm testing or if you have any insight.

me again... it appears by this diagram ive found you dont need to use a bypass unit at all you just need the 2 relays and the resistor you need should be readily available at radio shack or the source!!

according to ALL the tech data I have...this vehicle requires NO bypass? No relay's nothing......?

if you are going at this without using the relays then i guess you are permanently gonna bypass the passlock. go with the relays diagram i showed you if you want to leave your anti-theft in working condition!!

I was going the 2 relay and resistor route when I did this yesterday. That diagram would have been nice to have when I started it, I had a similar diagram from directed however it did not tell you specific colors for the H3, just a few colors to "pick from" as the diagram was for colorados, canyons, and h3s. It ended up being the WHITE/ blue and WHITE/ yellow which I was attempting to use, it just appears as though my multimeter wasn't reading the resistance properly. I tried a different meter, got a totally different reading and then all was good. Thanks!

glad i could help. Ive noticed in my own testing for resistence that my NO name DMM gives more accurate ohm readings than my brand name one does, which cost me $50. my cheapy, only paid $15 for is awesome!!
