I just purchased DEI 528T and want to use it for alarm siren delay. DEI does not provide instructions on how to program the delay time and wiring. I want to have a 30 secdelay on the alarm siren sound. How can i do this?

if u want the alarm to go off for 30 seconds before the siren goes off wire it like this,
You will get a momentary chirp when the alarm sends output to the siren, but nothing more untill the timer has rundown. turn the adjustment knob so the arrow is pointing up for 30 seconds.

oops, my bad i was thinking waay to fast when i first posted that, here it goes again:
- Red~ 12v+
- Black~ground
- BLACK/ white~trigger wire( you need to trigger this with ground)
- yellow~ to siren
- orange~ siren output from alarm12v+
you'll need one relay to trigger the timer.
- 86~ siren output from alarm 12v+
- 85~ ground
- 30~ to BLACK/ white wire on 528t
- 87~ ground (normally open)
When the siren output from the alarm is activated it will send 12v+ to the relay to close 87-30 giving the BLACK/ white wire ground triggering the 528t. the 528t will then cut the normally closed connection between the yellow wire and the orange wire for the duration of the timer.
hope this is alot more clear
and swamprat, why is my first post wrong? if i remember correctly the 528t is just a simple relay with a timer built in, and i thought relays didnt care how you triggered them, wether it be by ground or 12v, i suggested grounding out the BLACK/ white wire and just switching the 528t by using 12v so that there is no need for a relay. please correct me if i am wrong.
