I just Installed a Prestige APS-686T remote starter in a 2002 Chevy Tracker. The problem I am haveing is the Tach signal, The Tracker has 4 individual coils 1 for each cyclinder. The Instalation manual says I might havre to hook the tach wire to multiable coils see mutiple coil wiring. And says I need (P/n 136b1400) to hook all the coils together. But were do I get this adapter? And do I need it?

Thanks

You should not need any adapters. Tach is the brown wire Pin4 of the C1 Connecter at the PCM - PCM is behind the gove box

Are there multiple brown wires at the ECM thats behind the glove box? Did you verify with a multimeter that you in fact are on the right one. Is you remote start set to sense tach? I checked all of my diagrams and they all call for the brown at the ECM behind the glove box..

Looks like the 3rd wire top row of the 1st plug [left to right] under the glove box

I agree, but it's even easier than that. You can follow the harnees from the cluster down the left side of it and catch it there. You don't even have to pull it out...
