Old 791xv system in '05 Toyota Tacoma Access Cab. Bought used new model P-button 479V/P/C transmitter for backup. Followed programming instructions numerous times but lock button won't lock doors/panic and will only remote start the truck. All other buttons will manually program correctly....won't self learn.

I had both transmitters on my desk this morning when I remote started with the old transmitter. The new remote is receiving all alerts/signals from the vehicle but won't communicate back.

Anyone else run into this?

Great site with great info.

did you "auto-learn" the new remote?

Made many unsuccessful attempts. Finally got it squared away by deleting the transmitters. Wasn't necessary to use channel one as they both reset to default/standard configuration on their own.
