i pulled the unit out from my last attempt at installing it,...but here goes attempt number 2
i have a compustar 2wss-as remote start and alarm,..its the cm-3000 series
i have hooked up the main 8 wires of the harness
the remote page sensor
the antenna
the lcd
the siren
the tach sense wire to the white wire off the cluster
and the 2nd ign 200ma output (pin #3) to the wire on the prewired relay
i was told to get the remote start feature working before going through with the rest of the alarm, and when i press the button on the 2 way remote,. the unit powers up, the dash lights and headlamps come on and then nothing for about 10 minutes,..then the vehicle trys to start then dies.
heres what i have hooked up so far:
Compustar brain truck
Red red (constant 12+)
Gr/Wh light blue at back of headlamp sw (12+ with switch on)
RED / Wh red (constant 12+)
White Orange (heater/Ac)
Violet Prewired into starter kill relay
Yellow i cut the yellow starter wire and the solid yellow is to the starter and the yellow black off the relay is going to the key side
Green pink (12+ with key on)
Black Grounded behind dash
i am just wondering if the 10 minute delay in the truck trying to start is from a wiring issue or if i got a bad brain from compustar,...any help is greatly appreciated

You need to hook up a programmer to see what the delay start time is set to. I've had this happen to a few units where the delay timer on the unit would engage.

is that something that only dealers would have? the programmer i mean? or is it something i can check at home?

I don't believe you can purchase the op-500. I think they are a dealer only item, but then again so is the compustar remote start line so who knows.

Go back to where you bought the system so they can program the unit for you.

ok i went to the local compustar dealer and he hooked up the programmer to my unit and shut off all the options that came turned on,..
now i have the remote start workimg and tucked away nicely,...
i have found the door lock wires that pulse +12v when the switch is toggled,...but it doesnt seem like the compustar brain is sending out its signal,...do i need relays for the door locks?
i am using the white and light blue wire at the brown plug in the BCM each wire pulses respectively when lock or unlock is hit on the drivers switch,...but when hooked up to the brain it doesnt work,...and my multimeter doesnt show a pulse coming from the brain,...
is this something he could have mistakenly turned off with the programmer?

The truck uses a (+) pulse and the Compustar has a (-) pulse. You will need to hook up relays or polarity inverter for the keyless entry to work.
