I am having problems finding the tach wire on my 1999 ford f150. I have a hornet alarm and am trying to put in a remote start. The vehicle wiring on here says pin 48 at the bcm but there is no pin 48 on my truck.

TACH SIGNAL Pink/white At Ignition coil   AC
On the 4.2L engine, this wire provides a 2 cylinder signal. For 4.6 Triton tach is PINK/WHITE at driver's side coil, on 5.4 Triton it's WHITE/ PINK at harness through firewall on driver's side. For the V10 engine, use the negative side of any of the 10 injectors on the top of the engine.

I would just use one of the injector wires. I believe it will be the wire thats not red, but just check and use the wire thats not common at each injector. It the only source that will work reliably with DEI rs on Fords.
