I have most of the system hooked up, but the door locks, the tach, and the RS are giving me fits.

I found the Gray and Tan wires in the door, but it seems like there would have to be a wire coming into the cab that I could use for the door locks.  Is this true?

For the tach, I hooked into an injector, and the system doesn't seem to be recognizing it (Scytek 5100rs)

On the RS, I hooked into the Yellow wire, and the 10 gauge white wire, but, when I activate the remote start, It cranks, but won't start.

These are my issues for now.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Todd

What ignition bypass did you use, I believe the locks are controlled via a data signal. As far as tach goes they don't get easier than this one, take out the gauge cluster its the white wire in the plug that plugs into it. There is only 1 white. as far as door trigger I can remember off the top of my head.

What bypass if any did ya use?   pink ign 1, white ign 2, yellow, starter, brown accy, org accy. Locks and such really should be done through the data bus.. get the tach at the white wire behind the cluster [plug comeing into it.]

scytek has an excellent tachless feature that works superbly

For the doorlocks, you need a databus module. Unless you have a lock switch in the cargo area just inside the rear hatch. Then you can run wires to that switch and it will work.

I used peripherals interface.  I am hooked up the the white wire that goes to the connector on the back side of the fuse box (left of the steering wheel).  Is there any better way to get to the lock/unlock wires than feeding wires into the door?

Thanks

Todd

Yes, you need a databus interface for the door locks, Even if you run wires into the door you need to do some soldering on the ckt board itself and do some stuff in the remote fob [factory] I've done it, its quite time consumeing.. spend the money and get this GMDLBP from bypasskits.com it will do everything, and you can retur the periphial interface.. this does lock/ulock, disarm arm, door triggers, and passlock bypass... no door bs or anything....

The peripheral piece is the same as the bypasskits piece (I think that they own bypasskits).  My problem is, which wires do I connect the interface to for the lock/unlock feature?

thanks,

Todd

Okread your directions carfully from periphial... The puple wire goes to pin 2 in the ODB II port the green and blue wires get connected to the LOCK and UNLOCK out puts from the rs unit. there should be a door pin wire [pink I think] and dome light supervision. Just look carfully at the input/or output on the bypass directions.. and connect it up exactly as it states...
red 12v (in)
blk ground (in)
brown gwr (in)
blu unlock from rs (in)
green lock from rs (in)
Purple pin 2 ODB II port (out)

Get the Idea?

I don't mean to seem stubborn here, but if I just hook my lock/unlock wires from my peripheral piece to my rs unit when does it tie into the vehicle?

thanks alot,

todd

It sends the data signal via the data wire that is tied into your diagnostic plug in the vehicle.
