Hello all, I have a 2005 F-150 and I am trying to install a 530T for the front windows but I am having difficulty getting the wiring correct. Usually, once I have tapped into the motor wires I will check the PW switch to be sure they operate correctly before I make the final connections (power, ground, etc.) on the module and on this one, I get nothing. I accessed the wires for the driver door in the door and the passenger wires in the kick panel. Here is the diagram for the windows that I have followed: LF Window up/dn | tan/lt. blue - WHITE/ black | A | driver window switch in door | RF Window up/dn | tan/lt. blue - WHITE/ yellow | A | driver kick, door harness | LR Window up/dn | yellow/lt. blue - gray/orange | A | driver kick, door harness | RR Window up/dn | RED / black - yellow/black | A | driver kick, door harness |
I have read the manual over and over, checked the wiring connections over and over, but I still cannot figure it out. I know I must be overlooking something simple. I appreciate any help/direction. Gary

They run along the threshold of the drivers door. I used a DMM to test. Gary

You know the 530t HAS to have power and ground in order for the windows to work at all once you cut the motor wires?

I did not know that, thanks for the help...I was just assuming because the 529 would work without power/ground, the 530 would be the same. Gary

Yeah it's not. ONce you have that installed, the 530t takes total control over the windows. The switches just become triggers for the 530 since they're no longer connected to the motors. That's part of the reason why the 530t gives you fully auto control of the windows.
