Im installing a AS2400 tommorow on a 07 Ram  can anyone tell me can you trip the glowplug wire with out using a seperate module, i.e. hooking up your GWR wire to the glowplug wire to trip delay remotley starting?

you don't need to hook it up....IF you can delay starting for about 15 or so seconds.

Also....who makes the AS2400

Garry, it's an Autostart brand and there's no delay timer built into this unit. The new Dodge trucks you only need to delay aboput 5 seconds in most conditions.

I am to understand that when the truck is warm....5 seconds works, but when the truck is cold 5 seconds won't do it..... Am I misinformed?

That's why I posted " in most cases " If you have -25 celcius and you don't plug that truck in, chances are it won't start. With the vehicle plugged in it should still start at -25 within 5 seconds. This is the case with newer Fords and Duramax Chevys as well.

If you delay the start too long when it's cold it's not good either because the glow plug chamber will cool and it won't start properly.
