bought 2003 mazda 6 in oct.it already had a viper 791xv alarm w/remote start installed.since monday when i press the remote start my car wont start up.i can hear a believe its the relay.i had my husband look at it and he had pressed so many buttons on my remote that now my doors wont unlock either with the remote.please help i have appointment next week they are gonna charge alot just to look at it.amy

default is press it twice. for remote start

is your led on constantly? If so, you may be in valet mode.   As far as remote starting, press start twice or try the old lock and unlock together. If that don't do it, maybe your neutral safety switch is off. Keep us posted on how far you get...

i have been pressing 2x for remote start.it shows the icon that it has activated but car wont start.whomever installed this completly hid the the switches i cant find them anywhere on the car.the only light i have on is the stock light in the guage cluster.it comes on when door is open.i had been hearing buzzing noise by my glove box for a week now it stopped if this helps(like something was on its way out)

the factory alarm and remote is still connected to the car along with the viper alarm.if this helps.

lets look at the shutdown menu.

with the IGN off. turn IGN on and back off while holding the valet button, release valet then press and release valet
this is take ya to the shut down diagnostics to see y the car shut down. your LED will flash
1- timed out
2- over rev
3- low or no RPM
4- remote shutdown or optial push button
ther is no 5
6- negtive shut down hood pin or postive ( brake wire
7- neutral safty
8- wait to start timed out

someone from this site suggested that i have bad ground?i havent tried the shut down mode.i will try it after i look at ground today if that doesnt help.
