i had a avitar remote start installed in my 03 altima now the factory remote is not used but is hard to tell if doors are locked. and is alarm set from factery?

The altima rearms when you lock the doors, if the key is in the ign it disarms automaticly or on unlock. Dont the park lites flash onece for lock, and twice for unlock? Thats the easiest way to tell...
