Hi would like to know if it common for a car to have a wire color perform different functions at different locations in the car? What I am asking is lets say you have a red wire which is the door trigger wire. Is it possible that there could be a red wire at a different location in the car which the manufacturer has used for the starter wire? Tahnk you

you could have 20 wires that are the same color, and each will perform a different function. Break out the dmm
