When I ground the blue trunk input wire while the alarm is armed, the alarm goes off.

When the hood is opened while remoted started the remote start shuts off. When the alarm is armed and the hood is opened the alarm is goes off.

All this works but it doesn't page the remote to let it know of a trigger.. I'm 99.99% sure the remote is set up properly...

Use AUX to toggle display selections between hood only (1 beep),
trunk only (2 beeps), or hood and trunk (3 beeps) on the LCD
display. The installer will have set the remote up to correctly
display the installation (hood pin only, trunk pin only, or hood
and trunk pin installed).

Press * to toggle Page mode on and off. When Page Mode is
on, the remote control will wake up periodically to check for
messages from the security module. It will also wake up when
any button on the remote is pushed. When Page Mode is off, the
remote control “sleeps” until a button on the remote is pushed,
extending the life of the battery.

Door trigger, warn away, full shock, remote start all page me

Any ideas?

Is this a fresh install, or did you swap the brain from another module?

Fresh install done by a auth DEI installer, and I could of done a better job on my own. I fixed up his hack job but this is the only problem left . You think I need to go back for a new alarm brain? Thats the part I'm dreading... letting him touch my vehicle again. The think that stumps me is the wires trigger the alarm like they should so the brain shouldn't be bad and I get pages from all the other stuff so the antenna should be good (the antenna is the only thing that was installed correctly)

There is still a possibility that the hood pin is hooked up, but the hood "trigger" is not. Maybe when you pop the hood, the shock sensor is setting the alarm off, and the same may go for the trunk. Get it checked out because it seems to me that the wires are not hooked up. In fact....set off the alarm by popping the hood, now is the hammer icon on the screen? If so then it was the shock sensor and the hood trigger isn't even connected. Good luck!

I'm sorry I just re-read your post.....I realized what I wrote makes no sense because you aren't even getting a page. Try taking the batteries out of the remote and putting them back in.

borrow someone's remote that works and program it to your brain, iif trunk/hood display then its your remote.
Program your remote to his alarm and see if it shows up, then it is your brain.

best way to test what the problem is. (my guess is the remote)

Does ANYBODY know what kind of car this is....? Maybe it doesn't matter, gut I wouldn't want to gues trying to help.

If, and when you go back, BE CAREFUL....they won't like the idea of you being in there after them. They, then have the ability to tell you that YOU caused the problem. I know how it is not wanting a guy to touch your car again, that couldn't get it correct the first time...but!

You should still have the original installing shop do the trouble shooting.....it sucks, but thats the protocall.
