I just got the entire remote start done and I went to program the tach and now it won't start with the key.  The security light comes on solid and it won't crank at all.  Help please.

I did have an issue when I was programing the CHU.2  While I was doing it the battery went all but dead (just my luck)  I couldn't have erased the program from the 2 factory remotes could I?

Thanks a ton,

Frank

Disconnect the PKU-CH2 and make sure that the battery is fully charged. Try place the key into the cylinder but do not turn it over. Take note of the LED in the dash just to make sure that the LED goes out after 3 seconds after ignition is turned to the ON position.

it does go out.

I disconected the battery and tried it.  The horn honked 3 times and it still won't start.

I actually have everything unhooked from the ign. wires right now and it still won't do anything.  It must went into some type of tamper mode or something.  Is there any way to get it out of that mode?

Thanks,

Frank

disconnect all wires going to any starter wires then try it again. did you happen to check all fuses to make sure you didnt blow one?

Yes.  Neither one will do anything.  Is there any way to reset the Chrysler's like the GM vehicles?  Like leaving the key on for so long or something along those lines.

Thanks,

Frank

I haven't checked that.  All the lights, heater, ect. comes on when I turn the key on so I didn't think it would be popped.

check the fuses like splaudio said. i had the same problem once and somehow a mini spade 30amp fuse popped under the hood. it was a fuse that i would have never thought to check.  check the main power wire at the ignition harness. if there is nothing there, run a fused wire directly from the battery to the power wire and try starting it. if it starts, you know its just a fuse you have to find. the ignition and acc wires are on their own circuit so if a fuse pops on the main power wire, the lights, heater, etc should still come on.

Just checked everything.  Ign shows 12v, starter, and power are all good.  I checked the fuses anyway and they are all good.  I'm lost now.  It must be the security.

well, I got it figured out.  It was the dumbest thing.  When I pushed my wire tool through the rubber gromet, I cut 1 single wire, and it just happened to be the yellow start wire.  What are the odds of that!  It's a tool that looks like a screwdriver that is hollow that you can push through rubber to run the wires out.

Thanks for the help guys!
