Subject: manual transmission, remote start?

I just bought a RS (Prostart 3360 from Canadian Tire) for my 1995 Plymouth colt.  Wont find a wiring diagram for it but it is same car as 1995 Eagle Summit which there are diagrams for.  I am comfortable with installing the unit and using DMM to find all associated wires and such.  The problem is I have never installed a unit on a manual transmission and I am unclear about how to handle the clutch.  I have been reading and I am unclear as to the bypass procedure.  I understand how to check to see if its direct feed, negative or posotive, but I would like to know the proper way to install it so the safety feature of the clutch is not permanently bypassed.  I want to make sure it is done safely, which is why I am asking here first before I go ahead and install it.  Thanks in advance for the help.  You guys were a great help on my first install!!!

There should be a wire on the remote start called "ignition 3" or "status output". This wire supplies a ground during the remote start cycle, which you can use to ground out the clutch. There should be one or two small plugs attached to the clutch pedal, and one of the wires in there shows ground when the clutch is depressed allll the way to the floor. Only take the wire that does that, and only that. Connect your ign3/status output to this wire. Oh, by the way, don't do this under any circumstances.

Where is the gear stick left?  Is it to always be left in neutreul?  Does the handbrake always have to be left on?

If the car uses a positive clutch bypass system then you can use the GREEN (+) output on the main harness. Change over the jumper on the side of the CPU to 2nd STARTER and you won't have to use the status output wire. The (-) trigger status output wire you will need to use if the vehicle has a (-) trigger clutch system.
