I have installed a Clifford RS1.1 remote starter and now the truck will crank for about 4 seconds but not start. If I put the key to the "run" position, it starts with the remote, which according to Clifford should be incorrect ign wiring. All has been double  checked and correct. Here is how it is wired:

factory                                Clifford

red                                  2 red 12v input

pink                                pink ign out

white                             pink/white ign out

orng                              orng accy out

      Any suggestions?

Make sure (by metering) that your ignition hots are hot while cranking- sometimes there are jumpers in the wrong place from the factory- which makes an ignition hot an accessory hot- an accessory hot drops out during crank- an ignition hot does not---but ot doesn't matter if an accessory remains hot during crank- but you have to have an ignition hot during crank.......

Check the 1st and 2nd ignition OUTPUT during remote start from the clifford unit. The brain may be defective and not  be giving an output to one of the ignition wires.

I found the problem, bad tach wire hookup. Now the check engine light is on- I know the transmission computer could be the cause, but the white wire is powered up and the trans shifts fine. Is it - A:most likely another cause or B:the trans issue, but could I still start with just the key and be ok?
