I am installing a DEI 561T Addon Remote Start into a 2000 Dodge Durango.  The problem I am having is with the activation input.  I have it connected to the Door Lock Wire (ORANGE / Black), and it works if I pulse the door lock, but it will not activate when pulsed from the remote.  Would I need to connect this to Factory Alarm Arm?  What color, and where is this wire located?

You would use the WHITE/ red + activation input. Connect this wire to the ORANGE / black in the driver's kick panel, door harness. This wire is the wire that is the actuator supply wire. This wire rests at ground and goes to +12V when locking. It is the actuator leg, and if the door is locking it will provide +12V no matter what method you use for locking, door switch or remote. It sounds as if you may be on the incorrect wire.

I am using he RED / white activation input wire, and have it connected the the ORANGE / black wire.  This wire pulses 12+ when triggered with the lock switch, but doesn't pulse when triggered with the remote.  I will look for other ORANGE / black wires to see if I am hooked into the wrong one.

The proper ORANGE / black will pulse no matter how the locks are activated as it is the leg from the actuator.

Ok I got the correct wire now, and the RS activates via the remote now.  The only issue remaining is with the alarm disarm wire.  I believe this is a light GREEN/ orange wire.  Is this a direct connection to the 561T, or are resistors required?

You need a relay wired like:

85: GREEN/ Black FAD from 561T
86: Constant fused +12V
30: Ground
87: through 1562ohm resistor to light GREEN/ orange in kick panel

How do you test this wire? Does this wire pulse 12+ on unlock(disarm)?
