I am going to do a 561r remote start to this vehicle and  would like some info on the immoblizer system. Tech says use a 556u for bypass but the key this vehicle has looks like it would be to big to fit in the 556u and anyway  it is a smart key. The key has to be within 5 feet of the vehicle and you can start it without inserting it in the key cylinder. If you could use it in a 556u wouldnt you be able to start the vehicle at anytime.

That car is very easy, did one not too long ago. If the vehicle sees the correct remote within a certain distance it 'unlocks' the ignition switch. This unlock does not work unless the correct remote is within the required distance. It remote starts just fine without the remote but the key switch can not be turned forward until the remote is in the vehicle. The blue indicator that appears on the dash will not illuminate once remote started, but the system works fine.

Just wire it as a regular RS, the one I did had NO transponder. So there was no need for a bypass module.

The factory remotes do not work once started, however the little push button on the door continues to work. As long as the remote is close to the vehicle they can open the door using that button when running. Since you are doing the 561R that has door lock outputs, just wire them in.

What I did was wired it up as a normal system in addition to wiring it as a lock/lock system. I used the WHITE/ red positive activation input as well as installing the antenna, door locks, arm and disarm for the DEI remotes to work. This left the owner with the option of starting both with the new remotes, and with the factory remotes if they did not want to carry around a second remote at all times.
