Ok, I'm going to have a few channels left over on the Compustar 2wss a/s.

I'd like to be able to turn on the radio with one of the aux output channels.

Is there a way to be able to do this? Will I need a relay to provide more power to the cd player? Will I need a diode to keep the current flowing in one direction? What size diode?

are the aux channels single pulse or do they supply 12v until you unselect the aux output?

Some systems offer a programmable output. Does your Compustar offer a 'latching' output? If it does you can just use that to power a relay to turn on your radio's switched supply input. If it only offers a single pulse you would need to wire up a latching relay setup. The diagram to make your own latching setup triggered by a pulse can be found here.

yep, it offers a latching output, but I don't know how to program the latching output. It comes with a single (-) pulse by default.

I think I might need the Compuprogrammer to program the latching output.

Anybody know?
